Reading Time: 2 Minutes – SOMA NATURE
Just like the natural world around us, our body, in a sense, has a “Mother Nature.”
Let that simmer in your head for a moment. We can call It, “Soma Nature.”
Soma Nature would be a personification of our body’s nature that focuses on the life-giving, life-preserving, and nurturing aspects of soma by embodying it, in the form of a parental figure.
Pretty clearly our body has a level of intelligence and set of operating instructions that it uses without any intervention on our part. To a certain degree, we can interfere with those processes by something as simple as eating poorly. But even then we can only go so far before Soma Nature takes over. We oftentimes refer to this as an auto-immune disorder which is a slight misnomer because our body doesn’t attack itself. It is attacking you in a last-ditch effort to get you to stop doing something it can no longer keep balanced. If you remove that irritant the auto-immune disorder typically will spontaneously stop being needed as a meaningful biological process. Even cancer under the right conditions has been observed to spontaneously heal.
Not sure yet why I connected these two concepts but it seems like a useful tool for understanding how our body functions.
